About Kelly Counseling & Consulting
Seeking therapy often comes during seasons of uncertainty, emotional fatigue, or significant life change. At Kelly Counseling & Consulting, I provide a calm, supportive space for adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, recovery, and life transitions. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and individualized — focused on helping clients build insight, stability, and meaningful change at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
About Me
Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, often made during periods of stress, uncertainty, or emotional fatigue. At Kelly Counseling & Consulting, I work with adults seeking thoughtful, compassionate support as they navigate anxiety, depression, recovery, and major life transitions. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and client-centered, with an emphasis on creating a space that feels steady, respectful, and emotionally safe.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have worked in the mental health field since 2019. Throughout my career, I have supported a wide range of individuals, including those with complex and high-needs presentations. One of my greatest professional privileges was helping to create and develop a women’s substance use disorder treatment program designed to support women facing the combined challenges of mental health concerns, homelessness, and legal involvement. This work deeply shaped my understanding of how trauma, systemic barriers, and resilience intersect in meaningful ways.
In addition to clinical work in traditional therapy settings, I have experience working within the legal system as a Licensed Professional Counselor. This includes supporting clients who are navigating court involvement, legal obligations, and the emotional weight that often accompanies these processes. I understand the importance of balancing accountability with compassion, and I work collaboratively with clients to support stability, insight, and long-term progress.
My therapeutic style is intentional and practical, integrating evidence-based approaches with a trauma-informed lens. I believe therapy should move at a pace that feels sustainable, with goals shaped by each client’s values, strengths, and lived experiences. Whether you are seeking support for emotional regulation, recovery, or life transitions, my role is to offer guidance, clarity, and a steady presence as you work toward meaningful change.
I welcome the opportunity to connect and determine whether my approach may be a good fit for your needs.
My Approach
My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, with a strong emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and recovery-focused support. I help clients explore the connections between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and lived experiences, while also recognizing the impact of trauma, chronic stress, and systemic barriers on mental health.
Therapy is collaborative and practical, balancing insight with skill-building and reflection. Sessions are paced intentionally, allowing space for stabilization, growth, and meaningful change without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. My approach is flexible and responsive, adapting to each client’s needs, goals, and stage of change, particularly for those navigating recovery or complex life circumstances.
Who I Work With
I work with adult individuals who may be experiencing:
- Anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm
- Life transitions, grief, or adjustment-related stress
- Substance use concerns or recovery-related challenges
- Co-occurring mental health conditions
- Court involvement or legal-related stressors
- A desire for greater emotional regulation, clarity, and stability
I am especially experienced in supporting individuals with complex or high-needs presentations and those who value a structured, supportive, and compassionate therapeutic relationship.
Who I May Not Be the Best Fit For

- Seeking therapy exclusively for children or adolescents
- Looking for crisis-only or emergency mental health services
- Not open to reflection, collaboration, or active participation in therapy
- Requiring a level of care that would be better supported through inpatient, residential, or intensive treatment settings
